David is a family woodland owner and professional forester.
David is the CEO of L&C Carbon with previous leadership positions at National Forest Products Association, Oregon Small Woodlands Association and Metafore, where common-ground solutions across supply chains were crafted.
He serves on the American Forest Foundation’s (AFF) National Woodland Operating Committee, providing program oversight, including the American Tree Farm System (ATFS) which provides PEFC-endorsed certification to 80,000 family woodland owners on 21 million acres. He chairs AFF’s Nationals Standards Interpretation Committee. Formerly, he chaired AFF’s Independent Standards Review Panel, responsible for developing ATFS standards.
David holds a B.S. in forest management from the University of Illinois and is a graduate of the U.S. Forest Service’s Forest Engineering Institute. He serves as an elected member of the Operations Committee of the American Tree Farm System. He is a member of the Society of American Foresters and is a past officer of the National Capitol Chapter. David owns and manages a private family forest in western Oregon.
