Chain of custody & EUDR initial training: UK
Chain of custody & EUDR initial training: UK
Auditor training
Auditors, reviewers, and certification decision makers are invited to register for a PEFC recognised chain of custody initial training on 3 – 4 December 2024. Following the publication of the PEFC EUDR DDS module standard, this training will include the PEFC EUDR DDS.
Attending a PEFC recognised chain of custody initial training is a pre-requisite for an auditor wishing to issue certification against the PEFC chain of custody related standards, as required by PEFC ST 2003. This training will also equip auditors with the knowledge they need to help companies transition to the new DDS module standard, which is a pathway to EUDR alignment.
The training is also suitable for staff with chain of custody responsibilities working for PEFC certified companies, as well as staff members of PEFC national members who have already completed their initial auditor training.
The details
The two-day training takes place online, 9:00-17:00 GMT, on 3 and 4 December 2024.
The training will introduce the 2020 PEFC Chain of Custody standard, focusing on the input-output process, the PEFC Due Diligence System (DDS & EUDR DDS), the chain of custody methods and multi-site certification. It will also cover the 2020 PEFC Trademarks standard and 2020 Certification Body Requirements standard.
Before the training, participants are expected to read the related PEFC standards. Participants will also be provided with case studies in advance of the training and will need to provide their answers to the trainers.
The training will be given by PEFC International Technical Expert John Kirkby and will be held in English.
The participation fee for the training is £300 plus VAT. The registration deadline is 22 November.
