Forest certification in the Congo Basin, focus on PAFC Congo Basin
Forest certification in the Congo Basin, focus on PAFC Congo Basin
Webinar
Join us on 18 June for a webinar on sustainable forest management certification in the Congo Basin and the new regional forest certification system PAFC Congo Basin.
The PEFC Congo Basin system is the first regional system to be developed and submitted to PEFC for endorsement. It is currently under assessment, with a decision expected later this year.
The webinar will highlight the use of forest certification as an effective traceability tool within the Congo Basin region, followed by a discussion on the benefits of such an initiative. It will also address the current market recognition of PAFC/PEFC certified timber and conclude with the critical question: what are the steps to get certified?
If you would like to find out more about certification in a tropical region, with a particular focus on the Congo Basin, this webinar will certainly be of interest to you. It is free to attend.
