Global Fashion Summit
Global Fashion Summit, formerly known as Copenhagen Fashion Summit, is the leading international forum for sustainability in fashion.
First launched in 2009, the multi-stakeholder event is renowned as a nexus for agenda-setting discussions on the most critical environmental, ethical and social issues.
The event is presented by Global Fashion Agenda, a non-profit organisation that fosters industry collaboration on sustainability in fashion to drive impact.
Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition took place on 7-8 June 2022 under the patronage of HRH The Crown Princess of Denmark in the grand setting of the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Alliances for a New Era
The theme for this year’s Summit, ‘Alliances for a New Era’, epitomises our current climate – we are living in a time when the majority are ready and willing to evolve but we need to work together to enact truly pervasive change.
Under this theme, the Summit endeavoured to form previously inconceivable alliances within the fashion industry and also examined atypical cross-industry alliances, in a bid to accelerate the transition to a net positive reality.
GFA Monitor Report – Impact Partners Brunch
On 6 June, on the eve of Global Fashion Summit, Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) released The GFA Monitor — a new report to guide fashion leaders towards a net positive fashion industry.
The non-profit organisation fosters collaboration on sustainability in fashion to accelerate impact. GFA consulted over 30 partners and organisations to form a cohesive resource that presents expert insights on the status of the industry, available solutions, clear actions to take, and proven best practices.
PEFC is honoured to be among the stakeholders who GFA invited as principal industry experts to consult and provide inputs into this first edition of GFA Monitor report in relation to sustainable forest management and sourcing of forest materials.
Furthermore, on 6 June GFA and PEFC co-hosted a brunch to welcome Impact Partners and Stakeholders of the GFA Monitor and celebrate the launch of the report and discuss how our collective guidance and action can rally industry towards sustainable fashion.
