SDG 17: Partnerships for the Rubber Value Chain

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Rubber Value Chain

Rubber event

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an ambitious framework to enable businesses to monitor and communicate positive contributions across all areas of sustainable development. PEFC contributes to achieving the SDGs as we work towards unlocking the full potential of forests for a sustainable world.

Our latest PEFC Supporting Sustainable Rubber webinar will demonstrate how PEFC certification is an important tool to help the rubber industry meet its sustainability goals. Taking place on 26 April, it will be of particular interest to rubber-related companies wishing to upgrade their rubber value chain sustainability reporting.

During the webinar we’ll focus on how PEFC natural rubber certification is relevant to the SDGs and ESG (environmental, social, and governance), as well as sharing information on upgrading natural rubber value chains with the PEFC framework.

We will also present case studies covering controlled source in Laos, Cambodia, and Indonesia, including biomaterials such as rubberwood biomass and much more.

The webinar takes place from 9:00-10:30 (CEST), 26 April and is free to attend. Cohosted by our national member in Japan, Sustainable Green Eco System (SGEC), the webinar will be available in English and Japanese.
