23 August 2019 Forests in photos
This August, we hear from Rendra des Kurnia, a runner up in our 2018 ‘Experience Forests, Experience PEFC’ photo contest.
In his video, Rendra tells us about his photo ‘Spreading Seeds’ and why it is so important to protect our forests and animals.
“The forest is a gift of God for us. We can enjoy the beauty of nature and the sounds of the animals that live in there. Forests also play a big role in processing carbon dioxide into oxygen, which is needed in this world,” Rendra explains.
“I was lucky to capture a Rhinoceros Hornbill in my photo because this bird is threatened,” he says about his image.
“Thanks to PEFC. So by PEFC we could conserve forests around the world. And finally, save the earth!” Rendra concludes.
